A couple who ran a nursing home in North Wales were fined £5,000 for failing to ensure the safety of a resident. The resident Mr L aged 78, sustained a serious burn on a heater. The wound became infected and the resident subsequently suffered heart failure and died.
The couple were told by the Court that vulnerable residents deserved and should have expected the highest standards of safety and care.
